Demand recovered in most end markets following COVID-19 shutdowns in the second quarter, though commercial aerospace and energy remained under pressure, and the company recorded impairment and restructuring charges tied to aerospace businesses. Tons sold rose 5.9% sequentially to 1,283.5 thousand tons, while average selling price per ton fell 4.3% sequentially. For the fourth quarter of 2020, the company estimates tons sold will decline 4% to 6% sequentially and average selling price per ton will be flat to up 2%, with non-GAAP EPS expected in the range of $1.30 to $1.40.
