SS&C Technologies Holdings Financial Overview 2021–2025

Updated Nov 4, 2026

SS&C spent $1,036.0 milliona on buybacks in FY2025, more than it paid for Calastone, the $1.03 billion deal it closed that same year. That tells you where management's priorities sit. The thesis: a steadily compounding services franchise is turning rising cash flow into per-share growth, while a $7,466.9 million debt load keeps the margin for error thinner than the earnings suggest.

Revenue grew from $5,051.0 million in FY2021 to $6,272.2 millionb in FY2025. Diluted EPS dipped from $2.99 to $2.39 in FY2023, as interest expense jumped from $205.7 million in FY2021 to $476.3 million. It then rebounded to $3.00 in FY2024 and $3.15 in FY2025. Operating cash flow reached $1,744.8 million in FY2025, up from $1,388.6 million. Operating income rose to $1,436.7 million from $1,343.5 million. Software-enabled services made up 83.1% of revenue, and the company paid $253.8 million in dividends on top of the buybacks.

The momentum carried into 2026. Revenue rose 10.3% to $1,695.7 millionc in Q2 2026, and Q3 2026 revenue grew 7.8% to $1,690.0 million. Leverage is the pressure point: $2.0 billion of 5.5% senior notes due 2027 are now classified as current. On valuation, the shares closed FY2025 at $87.42, or 27.8x earnings, for a market cap of $21.1 billion. At that point, the market was paying a growth multiple for a business whose net secured leverage stood at only 1.70x.

Recent Developments (Q1 and Q2 2026)

SS&C's operating leverage improved through mid-2026. Operating income rose to $417.1 milliond in Q2 2026 from $344.5 million, a 21.1% gain, while diluted EPS climbed to $0.97 from $0.72. Q1 2026 revenue rose 8.8% to $1,647.1 million. Adjusted organic growth ran 7.6% in Q2 2026, then slowed to 5.2% in Q3 2026. Management raised full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $7.11–$7.17. In May 2026, the board authorized a new $1.5 billion buyback, and the annual dividend rose 11.1% to $1.20. CEO Bill Stone said the share price undervalues the company.

The bull case: record adjusted EBITDA of $674.8 millione in Q3 2026 and raised guidance support continued earnings growth. The bear case: GAAP EPS was flat at $0.83 in Q3 2026, and net leverage of 2.63x leaves little room if refinancing terms worsen. At $65.36, or 20.7x earnings as of the July 29, 2026 report date, the shares look cheaper than at year-end 2025. That price does not reflect today.

What to watch: pricing of the $2.0 billion notes refinancing in Q4 2026; whether organic growth stabilizes above 5%
