Roivant Sciences Financial Overview 2022–2026

Updated Nov 4, 2026

Roivant sold a single subsidiary for a $5.35 billiona gain in FY2024, then spent the next two years burning through the proceeds while building a pipeline that has started to deliver. That is the core thesis: the cash pile is funding a transition from a one-product company to a late-stage immunology developer, and the clinical data is now catching up to the spending.

The long-term arc is stark. Revenue went from $55.3 million in FY2022 to $29.1 millionb in FY2025, as the sale of Dermavant removed VTAMA, the only commercial product. Cash moved the other way, from about $2.1 billion at the end of FY2022 to $4.3 billion at the end of FY2026, after peaking near $6.6 billion in FY2024. Operating costs keep climbing. R&D reached $681.8 million in FY2026, up from $550.4 million, while G&A held at $610.5 million. The FY2026 net loss was $299.8 million, softened by a $770.2 million gain on the Moderna settlement. Buybacks were large: $1.3 billion in FY2025 cut shares outstanding by 14%.

The market has noticed. Roivant closed at $10.09c at the end of FY2025, a $7.0 billion market cap, then at $27.70 at the end of FY2026, a $20.0 billion market cap. Neither period had positive earnings, with EPS of -$0.24 and -$0.54. Investors are paying for pipeline outcomes, not profits.

Recent Developments (Q4 2026 and Q1 2027)

The FDA approved LISRAYA (brepocitinib) for dermatomyositis on August 26, 2026, with launch the next day at a $35,000d list price per 30-count bottle, ahead of the September target. In VALOR, 55% of treated patients met the response and steroid-sparing endpoint versus 30% on placebo. Mosliciguat then hit its PHocus Phase 2 endpoint, cutting pulmonary vascular resistance 56.3% versus placebo. On October 20, brepocitinib succeeded in two Phase 3 uveitis trials, with hazard ratios of 0.27 and 0.22. Quarterly operating cash outflow rose to $270.5 million in Q1 FY2027, and the Q1 net loss was $290.6 million.

Bulls see a launched product, a second sNDA filing planned for 1H 2027, and a Phase 3 asset in PH-ILD. Bears point to the boxed warning, rising burn, and a valuation of $25.8 billione market cap at $35.78 as of August 5, 2026, with trailing EPS of -$0.54 and no meaningful P/E.

What to watch: LISRAYA launch uptake and the December 9 investor day; Moderna's Section 1498 appeal and the contingent $1.3 billion

Recent SEC Filings

  1. 8-KRoivant Sciences 8-K Report, Regulation FD Disclosure (Oct 21, 2026)Roivant Sciences Ltd. (ROIV) reported, via a press release furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K, positive results from the Phase 3 CLARITY-1 and CLARITY-2 trials evaluating brepocitinib 45 mg once daily in non-infectious uveitis (NIU). The trials were conducted by its subsidiary Priovant Therapeutics, Inc. Brepocitinib achieved statistically significant benefit versus placebo on the primary endpoint (time to treatment failure) and all key secondary endpoints in both studies. Median time to treatment failure was greater than 48 weeks in both studies versus about 12 weeks on placebo (p<0.0001 in both). Pooled across the studies, 62% of brepocitinib patients achieved steroid-free quiescence at Week 48 versus 20% on placebo. The filing reports that 42% of eyes on brepocitinib achieved resolution of macular edema at Week 48 versus 4.8% on placebo (pooled, among patients with macular edema at baseline). Safety was described as consistent with prior brepocitinib trials with no new safety signals, and only 3% of participants discontinued treatment due to an adverse event. Priovant intends to file a supplemental New Drug Application for NIU in the first half of calendar 2027.
